What does music mean all over?
From the different post that we have come up with, different cultures have different types of music that they make/listen too, but all in all, they listen to it for entertainment or communication. Some cultures keep their music close to them where ever they go, while others would let their music die out. The music of the past is the reason we have music today. Nothing has changed except for the person who is singing/rapping and the tempo of the music. The concept of the music today, as it were in the past, is still the same also. To entertain and communicate.

Ashley, music is the most beloved entertainment. I recently saw a question posed as "What would one bring if deserted on an island?". Three things were allowed to be listed, and music was a top choice.
ReplyDeleteIt really is beloved because I do everything with music. I work, study, and go to sleep with music. My mom call me weird because I can't have the tv on or there can't be any talking while I'm reading or studying, but I have to music.
ReplyDeleteMusic of the past is what makes the music of today and the future. Without the development of music over the years, the music we like and enjoy today would not exist. You are right on!
ReplyDeleteMust provides so much communication. Its gives reaction to act with out physically doing anything. I totally agree with you!
ReplyDeleteMusic, just like any art, develops off of the ideas and works that came before it. However if does that mean that the caliber of the art is improved through the generations as it gets further from its original form? Many would argue that music today is not as pure or high in quality as music in the past. -P.Maldonado
ReplyDeleteArt changes with time, and there are different types of art. One thing that i can say is that culture and its morals shape the way art is viewed. Also, as new generations are forming, new art is forming too. It would be impossible to just stick to one type of music. Just like how everything evolves, music does too.
