Immortal Technique (PRESENT)
Elegant. Fierce. Down right F&*%ing raw. He explicitly loud while implicitly sending hidden messages. The messages are different to everyone, but it is clear what kind of message he is giving. He is a post -industrialist revolution rapper. I enjoy many of his lyrics and beats. One song people know is "Dancing with the Devil" that has a certain dark aspect to it. It is reality nonetheless. So Immortal Technique does not try to hide behind the curtains of giant music corporations to sugar coat controversial topics. The culture he brings with him reminds me of the cubism age. People were not ready for cubism and the majestic ugly truth that it had brought. Immortal Technique does exactly that : bring that truth in the spotlight and magnify it a hundreds times over with his vicarious vocabulary. My favorite written piece by him is Creation and Destruction. The rhythmic emotion he gives to every song is explosive. The first link is to "Dancing with the Devil" :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8v-hUweYE4

I believe music should express concerns about history and what is happening in present day. I don't agree with how some "musicians" make it in such a way that it is almost intolerable to listen to with the cursing and so on. Or how some blow it out of proportion.
